Accelerate AI outcomes without waiting for hyperscale timelines.

This proposal introduces a distributed sovereign AI layer that complements hyperscale data centers: deploy modular Edge AI pods now, connect them to regional hubs, and integrate with HUMAIN hyperscale capacity as it comes online.

Hybrid: Edge + Regional + Hyperscale Data residency & governance by design Pilot-ready in 90 days CAPEX risk hedge

Why this matters now

HUMAIN and the National Infrastructure Fund (Infra) announced a non-binding financing framework (up to US$1.2B) to support expansion of AI & digital infrastructure, including development of up to 250 MW of hyperscale AI data center capacity, and exploration of an AI data center investment platform.

Positioning: not a replacement for hyperscale. This is an acceleration layer that improves utilization, reduces time-to-value, and provides resilience against technology shifts.

Quick links

What gets deployed

  • Edge AI Pods (sovereign inference, local data, zero-trust access)
  • Regional AI Hubs (routing, caching, orchestration, shared services)
  • Workload Policy Engine (decides what runs where and why)
  • Rapid MVP Factory (automated scaffolding for GovTech & enterprise workflows)

Note: performance/throughput targets depend on hardware, templates, and scope; validation is part of the pilot.

Proposed pilot

SiteGoal
Government (one ministry / agency)Sovereign copilots for internal workflows + secure RAG
Education (one university or cluster)Offline-first learning assistant + Arabic/English content support
Industry (one industrial zone)On-prem inference for OT/IT analytics + safety copilots

Typical timeline: discovery (2 weeks) → pilot build (6–10 weeks) → KPI review (2 weeks).

Next step

Establish a joint working group (HUMAIN / Infra / stakeholder owner) to lock pilot sites, KPIs, and governance. The output is a pilot SOW and an investment/scale plan aligned with the broader hyperscale roadmap.
